About iFLY Portland
iFLY Portland is a 14-foot (4.3 m) recirculating, wall-to-wall wind tunnel in Portland, Oregon with a top speed of 171 mph (275 km/h). This indoor skydiving Portland location is a Generation 6 SkyVenture tunnel, and it opened in November 2015, joining iFLY Seattle as one of only two tunnels in the Northwestern United States.
iFLY Portland is both the only place to indoor skydive in Portland, Oregon and the only wind tunnel in the state of Oregon. Interestingly enough, FLY Portland and iFLY Seattle are actually the only two tunnels for hundreds of miles. South of Portland, the next closest wind tunnel is 600 miles south, at iFLY Sacramento or 700 miles southeast, at iFLY Utah. iFLY Portland is located just west of the I-5, in the community of Tigard, approximately 15 minutes south of downtown Portland.
The iFLY Portland Experience
The iFLY Portland experience lasts around an hour and 45 minutes and is a thrilling adventure from start to finish. Once you check in, you'll receive a brief training session from one of their experienced instructors on how to position your body to make the most of the wind tunnel. Afterward, it's time to gear up with a jumpsuit, helmet, and goggles, and get ready to fly.

Planning Your Visit
To get the most out of your iFLY experience, arrive 20 minutes before your session and wear well-fitting sneakers and casual clothes. Remember that the minimum age for indoor skydiving is three years old, and if you're under 18, you'll need a parent or guardian's waiver. iFLY also sets a maximum weight limit of 300 lbs to ensure guest safety.
Is Indoor Skydiving Safe?
Absolutely. All iFLY instructors are qualified to the highest standards by the International Bodyflight Association (IBA) and have undergone rigorous training to make sure they're ready to assist you during your flight. How Much is iFLY Portland?
At iFLY Portland there's a package for everyone. First-time flyers can start with a Kickstarter package which includes 2 flights for as little $69.99, but can go all the way up to 5 flights for $164.99.
Each flight lasts approximately a minute. This may sound like a short amount of time but this is almost exactly the same as the time spent in freefall on a regular skydive, so 2 flights is like jumping out of a plane twice!
Group packages are available at discounted rates and there are options for private parties and corporate events.
Experienced flyers or return flyers can also get discounted rates by purchasing their tunnel time in bulk.
