iFLY San Diego Oceanside (or iFLY Oceanside) is a 14-foot (4.3 m) recirculating tunnel that opened in Oceanside, California in August 2017. This Generation 7 SkyVenture model is a single-story, ground-level operation. It’s located only a few miles from the beach, just east of the I-5, between Carlsbad (to the south) and Oceanside proper (to the north). The famous El Camino Country Club, home to one of California’s most well-known golf courses, is right next door.
iFLY San Diego Oceanside is the southernmost tunnel in California, save for iFLY San Diego Mission Valley, another iFLY located in the Mission Valley subdivision of San Diego. iFLY Oceanside and Mission Valley are only two of the seven wind tunnels in California, along with four other iFLY’s (iFLY Sacramento, iFLY SF Bay, iFLY Ontario, and iFLY Hollywood), and a single independent tunnel, Perris Indoor Skydiving. The latter outfit has been running since 2003 and is the oldest tunnel in the state. It is also home to a world-famous skydiving dropzone, Skydive Perris.
