A news update from Wicked Local Natick has announced that the previously scheduled iFLY Boston project has been cancelled.

The tunnel was originally reported as a future project in September 2015. The iFLY location was planned as part of an upscale shopping and entertainment center. The proposed site sat roughly 28 miles from SkyVenture New Hampshire – a SkyVenture wind tunnel which has been open since 2006.

According to James Hanrahan, a lawyer representing the owner of the plaza, the proposed iFLY location fell within a non-competition area for iFLY franchises. Litigation ended in a loss for the iFLY franchisee, cancelling the iFLY Boston project.
