Modern Activity Center – Indoor Skydiving Oslo
Modern Activity Center – Indoor Skydiving Oslo Overview
Modern Activity Center is home to Norway's biggest vertical wind tunnel and opened to the public in April 26th, 2019. This is the second Norway location from German manufacturer, Indoor Skydiving Germany (ISG) after successfully building the facility at VossVind in 2012.
This newer, more modern facility is located at Gardermoen, just outside Oslo.
The Wind Tunnel
The facility features a 4.3-meter diameter, 20-meter tall flight chamber with the first 5 meters fully glazed, allowing participants to see outside the tunnel as they fly. This is also great for friends and family to also participate even if they aren't going to step into the tunnel.
The powerful fans located above the flight chamber pull air up and through the tunnel before looping it back around at speeds of up to 300 km/h.
This powerful system with adjustable speeds makes the facility great for experienced or pro-flyers as well as beginners who are looking to get their wings.

The place is really beautiful and the flying is okay. I felt I was given too low airspeed compared to other tunnels I've visited. The staff was really friendly and helpful with me, but I don't approve of the leadership. The staff looked afraid of loosing their job. Maybe it's just start up issues. I hope so!
