About Indoor Skydive Roosendaal
Indoor Skydive Roosendaal opened its doors to the public in 2006 and at the time was the first and only indoor skydiving facility in the Netherlands. It boasts a 14-foot/4.3-meter wide wind tunnel that has a total height of about 23.5 meters. Below the flight chamber are 12 engines that can provide winds of up to 250 kilometers per hour, with an air capacity of 3,500,000 m³ per hour. The entire facility has a building area of about 3,300 m².
Who Can Try Indoor Skydiving?
Almost anyone can take part at Indoor Skydiving Roosendaal. From ages 4 to 92, people of all abilities and all levels of experience are welcome.
People with physical or cognitive disabilities are also welcome to fly at the tunnel, although it is advised that you reach out to staff before booking so that they can make sure to accommodate you or your loved one in the best way possible.
There are a few other things to consider when making your booking:
- Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult who will need to sign a waiver upon arrival.
- If you have any previous heart, back, or neck conditions then you should consult with a doctor before booking.
- Indoor skydiving is not suitable for pregnant women.
- If you have previously suffered from a shoulder dislocation you should advise staff upon arrival so that they can adapt the experience to avoid any further injury.
The Indoor Skydiving Experience
Upon arrival, visitors check in at reception before being given flight gear including a jumpsuit, goggles, helmet and earplugs. They then receive a briefing from their qualified instructor on safety basics as well as hand signals for communication during their flight before heading through to the wind tunnel.
Once you step inside the flight chamber you'll feel the force of the wind and with the help of your instructor, you'll lie down on the cushion of air and begin to fly!
